April and May updates
Updates and reflections from Robyn and the wider network
April and May saw a host of activity!
Robyn attended a Decarbonisation & Net Zero event at Riverford, building valuable links for the network.
Members gathered in Bristol for the Gaia Foundation’s “We Feed The UK” exhibition, featuring SWGN members Fred Price and Rosy Benson.
Then Robyn was back to Bristol on May 9th for a Food Ethics Council event and onto the We Feed The UK Open Day on 10th May, where Fred and Rosy were part of a grain-focused panel discussion.
On 12 May, Robyn spoke at the Royal Agricultural University about diversity in grain and after that, she and Heloise travelled to Coventry for a gathering of UK grain networks under the UK Grain Lab umbrella.
Then, on 2 June, the True South West Flour project team will gather in Bristol for a planning meeting to shape the future of the project—bringing together farmers, bakers and millers.
